Mel Wallick kept it simple by supplying industrial and precision files to the Auto, Aviation, DIY and government markets. When most imports went after price, he "partnered" with his distributors to meet their needs for a quality product delivered on their timetable. He was one of the first United States companies to work overseas and gain GSA ("Government Services Administration") and ISO ("International Standards Organization") recognition for his factories. This attention to detail has made Mercer Abrasives
a worldwide presence. Today, through the leadership of Jim Wallick, Mel's
son, Mercer's products are manufactured in over ten countries and their
products are sold in North America, South America, Europe and the Caribbean.
Beginning as a file company with limited scope, Mercer stood the test
of time and now sells a full line of abrasives, files and safety equipment.
